GunNook is proud to introduce our Enhanced Economy (GN-BUM-EE) and Superior (GN-BUM-S) BUMP helmets. Both helmets utilize the same ABS plastic shell with enhanced impact and abrasion resistance while still being one of the lightest on the market. These helmets come in an array of solid colors as well as several camouflage patterns.
BUMP helmets make for great training aids for Military, Law-enforcement, EMS and other high-profile agencies and organizations. This is because they are usually much cheaper than ballistic helmets and still provide all of the essential fundamentals needed for communications and other tactical accessories such as night vision and cameras to name a few. Additionally, they are sometimes worn in combat by personnel who don’t necessarily require ballistic protection such as pilots and drivers.
BUMP helmets are also perfect for non-combat activities as well, such as: airsoft, paintball, hiking, skiing, biking, kayaking, rock climbing, or any other outdoor activities. In addition to outdoor activities these helmets may also be used in natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes for rescue operations or just impact protection.
What’s included with our BUMP helmets: Side Rails, a NVG shroud (Night Vision Goggle), Pads, Velcro, and a suspension system. Popular accessories include ring adapters for ¾” and 1” diameter flashlight mounts, bullet cameras, comms and more. An adapter specifically for the Surefire X300 series of flashlights, as well as adapters for the Contour HD series camera, and picatinny rail adapters for mounting picatinny style lights and accessories are also available. There are even adapters to mount your MSA Sordin or Peltor style headset cups directly to your helmet and more.

GN-BUM-EE (Enhanced Economy)
The GN-BUM-EE BUMP is our introductory bump helmet. Priced very competitively and ready to rock right out of the box. Unlike most BUMP helmets you see on the market, ours are not full of cheap plastic like 90% of other bump helmets at this price point. We use a Polymer and Fiberglass mixture for our rails and military grade aircraft aluminum NVG mounts. Our competitors generally outfit theirs with a cheap plastic NVG that is prone to failure. Depending on what you’re running at the time of failure it could end up being quite costly. No one wants to see nodes crashing to the ground; especially if you’re fronting the bill!

The included FAST type rails are the perfect mounting point for flashlights, lasers, cameras, comms, and other rail mount accessories using rail adapters. The Skeleton NVG shroud (Night Vision Goggle) is made from military grade aircraft aluminum alloy 6061 used to mount Night Vision Goggles as well as cameras with accessories that connect to GoPro and others for incredible vision or action shots as well as whatever else the operator wishes to connect.
The pads in the GN-BUM-EE use 6 closed-cell foam pads which absorbs far less dust and moisture making them much easier to clean and much more weather resistant to cold temperatures. Whenever they get dirty simply wipe them off with a clean rag and you’re ready for your next mission.
The 1st Generation dial-adjustment four-point retention system (GN-DRS1) has four buckles as well as a rear dial to quickly adjust the helmet to your perfect fit.
GN-BUM-S (Superior)
Our Superior BUMP helmet starts out with the same shell, side rails and NVG mount as the Enhanced Economy but gets upgraded from there. These helmets are made for Military and Law-Enforcement training in mind. They’re designed to be worn for longer periods of time and provide the functionality and capabilities to handle real world high stress environments where ballistic protection may not be needed.
The BUM-S features the GN-DRS3 retention system. This is the next evolution of our dial-retention system that is also used in our Superior ballistic helmets. Providing the easiest to adjust, most comfortable, wire helmet retention system we’ve ever offered to date. This 4 point system provides maximum stability while maintaining ultimate comfort, even after long periods of use.
The GN-BUM-S is also outfitted with our extremely comfortable (ATP’s) Advance Tactical Pads. The ATP’s are made out of closed-cell comfort foam that is not affected by temperature, altitude, or moisture. They consist of a shockproof liner kit that contains 3 main shockproof damper pads and a comfort kit that consist of 7 individual comfort pads. The liner kit provides protection of the frontal, parietal and occipital parts of the head. The comfort pads are 7 additional pads that are fastened on the inner surface of the liner kit. These pads provide individual adjustment of the helmet to the size of the head of the user and overall comfortability while using the BUMP helmet.
We’ve also included our four-piece rail accessories kit with our GN-BUM-S so you can mount your lights and cameras. Additional adapters may be purchased as needed from our store in Helmet Accessories category.
